Japan -A tough nut to crack

One of the countries that have baffled many with their lack of church growth and evangelistic movements has been Japan. According to Operation World, 1.6% of the population is Christian.

Evergreen SGV has Japanese roots and has had ministry to Japan for many years. We have tried sending teams, participating in church planting networks, bringing over youth from an orphanage and training young Japanese Christian leaders all in hopes of trying to get the gospel to the people of Japan. We have seen fruit but it remains a mystery why Japan as a nation has not seen any significant spiritual growth for over a century.

Japan remains a tough nut to crack. But we must pray that God would break the spiritual strongholds there, strengthen the church in Japan, raise up new young Christian leaders and create a movement of the Spirit among the disillusioned youth. More than ever, we must pray for Japan.

Will you pray for Japan?
